We strive to be good stewards of the gifts the Lord has graciously given us.
We are grateful to everyone who has partnered with us. These programs wouldn't be possible without their support.
In an effort to be transparent, we'd like to answer some frequently asked questions related to our finances, and present our most recent financials. Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you file a 990?
Yes! As an organziation with under $50,000 in annual revenue, we are required by the IRS to file the 990-N postcard. Visit the IRS website for our filings.
Do you have paid staff?
Our small US-based staff is 100% volunteer, and they do not take a salary. We do pay 4 Haitians and 1 American (who is a missionary living in Haiti):
- Our two teachers are Haitian, and they do receive a monthly salary. (*We have one teacher as of 5/2018).
- We have one student who acts as a part-time junior in-country director, and he receives a monthly salary.
- We pay a Haitian lady once a month to clean our Port-de-Paix classroom.
- We pay an American missionary, who is working at the Mole, to assist us in taking pictures of that class. (*On-hold as of 5/2018).
How much of my donation goes to administrative costs?
None, unless you designate it. Our Founder pays the majority of our administrative costs, so our donors money can support the sewing programs. The remainder is covered by individuals who designate it, or by unrestricted gifts like the Give for Good Louisville "bonus pools."
How much of your support comes from churches?
We do not have any church sponsorships, but we are open to it. If your church may want to partner, please contact us. We'd love to chat with you!
