What an exciting day! Today we received a HUGE donation of sewing supplies and fabrics from another non-profit. We will post more details and pictures tomorrow, but we are so excited and beyond blessed by this awesome donation!
In addition to the donation, we also received our official incorporation paperwork back, which means that the Haiti 323 Project is officially a non-profit corporation in the State of Indiana! As you might know, we have been operating as a fiscal sponsorship under our local partner, Waves of Mercy, so this is a significant change for us. A few months ago, we spoke with Larry and Diana at Waves of Mercy and decided that the best course of action for the future of the Haiti 323 Project was to setup our own 501(c)3. We will still work closely with Waves of Mercy as our local partner, but in the future, all donations will be processed by the Haiti 323 Project. We filed the paperwork for the 501(c)3 status today. It will likely take several weeks before it's official, but it is so exciting to see the progress!
