Let the sewing begin

Classes are back in session, and the students are learning the fundamentals of sewing. Here's some photos of the Mole St. Nicolas students learning how to sew with paper. They start with paper first before moving to fabric.

Please leave some encouraging words for the new students.

Classes are back in session

We're thrilled to announce that both the Port-de-Paix and Mole St. Nicolas sewing programs started on Monday, December 13! A total of 38 students (12 in the Port-de-Paix class and 26 in the Mole St. Nicolas classes) are embarking on a 3 year journey to learn how to sew.

Here's a few photos from the first few days of classes. The students wearing orange shirts are from the Port-de-Paix sewing program and they're posing with sewing supplies from the annual shipment. Those wearing regular clothes are a few students from the Mole St. Nicolas sewing classes.

The crates made it

We wanted to let you know that the crates, which were filled with donated sewing supplies, made it safely to Port-de-Paix and Mole St. Nicolas. Here's a photo of the Port-de-Paix crate being unloaded.

Special thank you to everyone who donated fabric and sewing supplies, and for our wonderful volunteers who helped sort and pack thousands of pounds of supplies in our warehouse. The annual shipment is an important part of the ministry, and it wouldn't be possible without our generous donors and volunteers.
